Sewage Treatment System Overview
The City of Osage City’s sewage treatment system is a three-cell lagoon that covers 25.6 acres southeast of the City. These treatment lagoons were constructed in 1988. Capacity of the three lagoons is 48 million gallons.

The wet weather design flow is 533,330 gallons per day (gpd) and the dry weather flow is 292,775 gpd. There are also 22 miles of sewer pipes in the collection system. The collection system is constructed of 45% plastic, 53% clay, and 2% percent miscellaneous piping.
