Code Administrator

Under the general supervision of the City Manager, the Code Enforcement Officer is responsible for plan review of new building construction, enforcement of building and safety codes, enforcement of nuisance codes, and enforcement of zoning regulations.

The Code Enforcement Officer is responsible for enforcing standards to safeguard life, health, property, and public welfare by regulating and controlling the design, construction, and quality of materials, use and occupancy, location, and maintenance of all buildings and structures within the city. The Code Enforcement Officer attends all Planning and Zoning Board meetings to present agenda items and serve as advisor to the Board. The Code Enforcement Officer attends City Council meetings when formal action is taken following Planning and Zoning recommendations.
